Sculpted design
The Galaxy has sleek, sculpted flowing lines. Interior Design
The interior of the Galaxy positively welcomes passengers. From the integrated armrests on the front seats to the ample head and leg room available in all three rows of seats, this majestic vehicle personifies comfort. It can also easily find space for that all-important luggage. With the Ford Fold Flat System (FFS), the car’s seating can be configured an incredible 32 different ways for ultimate flexibility.
Dual Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC)
When you travel in the Galaxy, your individual comfort is always assured. The unique DEATC allows you to set the temperature separately to suit your individual preferences, whether sitting in the driver’s seat, or as a front-seat passenger – with as much as 4º variation between each zone. The temperature is adjustable through the Bluetooth voice control system.
Luxurious personal space
All seven seats in the Galaxy can be adjusted forwards and backwards, and each one has an adjustable seatback. So everyone will arrive at their destination relaxed and comfortable.
Ford Fold Flat System (FFS)
Seven comfortable seats slide forwards, backwards, and individually recline. Plus, with FFS, you have an incredible 32 seat configurations at your disposal. If you need more space, the second and third row seats fold absolutely flat in seconds, without needing to be removed. The Galaxy really does welcome travellers, and whatever they bring with them.
More space for added convenience
The Galaxy is ideal for growing families, thanks to its extra space. And if you need to transport any large equipment or excessive loads, with the second and third row seats folded flat there is an enormous 2,325 litres3 of space in the back.
Luxury trims and fabrics
Every detail and fabric inside the Galaxy has been chosen with the utmost care and attention. Features include a leather steering wheel and leather gearshift knob, and a comfortable leather handbrake grip is also available on selected models.
A variety of colours and elegant fabrics are available, including a full leather option with Napoli leather in Ebony. The soft-touch materials beautifully complement the design flourishes and features inside the cabin. Every stitch, every cut of cloth and leather in the Galaxy has been as meticulously crafted.
Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Ford Convers+
This intuitive digital command centre helps you stay in complete control of many of the car’s systems. Featuring a standard, enhanced or optional Ford Convers+ cluster display, the HMI is operated by two steering wheel-mounted toggles for audio and vehicle settings. With the left toggle you can find and change radio stations or CD tracks, as well as set the volume. The right toggle switch controls the cluster display for vehicle settings and the trip computer. On the Ford Convers+ cluster display, the right toggle lets you scroll through MultiMedia lists, controlling the phone, radio, and CD player.
Navigation
Two navigation systems are available with the Galaxy: an advanced navigation system with optional 5’‘colour screen and a premium system with an optional 7’‘colour touch-screen.
The advanced system features a 5’‘ full-colour display with map and turn-by-turn instructions to your destination, as well as the option to play MP3 files directly from your memory card for enhanced sound quality. The system also includes an external AUX jack, SD memory card slot for data exchange and map data, remote audio controls and six speakers.
Choose the premium option and you will have a 7’‘full-colour touch-screen display and easy-to-follow visual with spoken instructions. The system also includes a CD/MP3 audio system, climate control, remote audio controls, an external AUX jack and eight premium speakers.
Both systems give local traffic updates and full postcode entry to help find your best route.
Mobile Navigation
Turn your Bluetooth®-enabled mobile smart phone (mobile phone not included) into a navigation unit. Simply insert the navigation chip, enter your journey details and the phone will transmit route data to the car’s audio system (available in combination with Sony DAB Audio systems).
Interior stowage
With 24 stowage compartments: underseat, overhead and at the side, the spacious interior of the Galaxy remains clutter-free, no matter how many extra items the family brings along. There is a useful compartment with lid in the centre of the instrument panel, and we’ve added some storage under the front seats, so there’s less chance of finding things under your feet.
Accessories
Whether you’re going on that well-earned skiing break, or off to the DIY store, there is a wide range of accessories for expanding the Galaxy’s stowage capacity. Skis and snowboards can be either roof-mounted or transported inside using the Activity Kit which uses aluminium bars and attachments to lock items securely in place. There is also a Thule roof box to transport additional loads safely in all weathers. We also have a robust, full-height dog guard to keep extra family luggage or pets safely in the rear. You can fix the dog guard either behind the second row of seats, or behind the front seats when the second row seats are folded down. The dog guard meets stringent Economic Commission for Europe (ECE-R17) safety requirements and is available to order.
