What is the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme helps eligible recipients of the higher rate mobility payment get mobile, by exchanging a qualifying mobility allowance to lease a new affordable car.

The Scheme is run by Motability Operations Ltd, and overseen by Motability, a registered Charity. The Motability Scheme offers Peace of Mind with an all-inclusive lease with insurance, servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover included. Payments are automatically taken from your mobility allowance.

Getting started is easy...

• Check you are eligible for the Motability Scheme
• Choose the vehicle you want at a price that works for you.
• Take a test drive and place your order with one of our local Vospers team.
• Payments are deducted from your allowance every four weeks and paid directly to the Motability Scheme by the relevant benefits agency.

All-inclusive vehicle leasing

The standard Motability Scheme lease lasts three years, or five years if you are leasing a WAV. The scheme takes care of all the below running costs, so all you need to do is add fuel and go!

All of these running costs are included in your payment:

• Insurance (for up to three named drivers for cars and WAVs)
• Servicing, maintenance and repairs due to general wear
• Breakdown cover
• Tyre repair and replacement
• Windscreen repairs
